Ontario’s food and beverage sector will gather at Steam Whistle Brewery on May 27 for the 2026 edition of the annual conference organized by Food and Beverage Ontario.
The event brings together processors, manufacturers, policymakers, economists and industry leaders for a day focused on trade, competitiveness, innovation and the future of Canada’s food and beverage economy.
This year’s speaker lineup includes Doug Ford, David Paterson, David Coletto, Althia Raj and Benjamin Tal. Discussions will heavily focus on Canada–U.S. trade relations, CUSMA negotiations, economic pressures and the competitiveness of Ontario’s food and beverage manufacturing sector.
The conference also reflects a broader reality facing the industry: rising production costs, automation pressures, labour shortages and the need for stronger domestic supply chains. Ontario’s beverage sector — from breweries and RTD producers to ingredient suppliers and co-packers — continues to navigate shifting consumer habits and tighter margins while searching for growth opportunities across Canada and abroad.
Held inside one of Toronto’s best-known brewery venues, the conference blends policy conversations with networking opportunities across the province’s food and beverage ecosystem.
