Microbrasserie Labrosse is seeking a brewer to join our team. We are seeking someone who works well in a small team, has a proven skill set in similar settings and possesses a strong passion for craft beer.
Who we are:
Microbrasserie Labrosse is the West Island’s first locally owned and operated craft brewery. Located in Pointe Claire, on the border with DDO, we are a production brewery with a 34 seat taproom focused on producing a variety of small batches.
Job responsibilities
Lead in the production of wort on a 9 hl brewing system
Monitor beer throughout fermentation and other stages of production
Ensuring that all vessels, equipment and facilities are kept clean and hygienic
Manage Packaging (cans and kegs)
Maintaining accurate records and inventory
Yeast handling
Carry out routine maintenance
Represent the brand at taproom and outside events
Carry out any general housekeeping required in the brewery to ensure that it is safe and well organized
Consistently reinforce quality across all brewing processes and product lines
Who you are
Familiar with the brewing process
Ability to repeatedly lift 25 kg
Flexible availability – brewing can sometimes be unpredictable!
Ability to use sound judgment under pressure, multi-task, high attention to detail & problem solve
Resourceful with a can-do, get-it-done attitude
Pride in work and dedication to quality
Enjoys teamwork
Post-secondary education or brewing-specific professional development/education is an asset
Experience in the Brewing industry is an asset
