Amid ongoing cost pressures and operational restructuring, Lassonde Industries has announced it will end beverage packaging operations at its Kelowna, British Columbia, facility.

The company plans to transfer these activities to other Canadian plants — including sites in Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec — as part of a broader effort to optimize its manufacturing network.
The transition will take place in phases through the end of 2026 and is expected to impact around 80 employees at the Kelowna site.
A shift toward operational efficiency
- Consolidation of packaging operations
- Redistribution across existing Canadian facilities
- Partial continuation of other activities in Kelowna
- Focus on cost control and efficiency
A broader industry pattern
Lassonde’s move reflects a wider shift across the food and beverage sector: companies are streamlining production footprints to better manage costs, logistics, and margins in a volatile market environment.
👉 Bottom line: less fragmentation, more consolidation — a defining strategy in today’s beverage industry.
