Job Description: We are currently seeking a strong, experienced Brewing professional with a proven capability and background in commercial brewing operations. Reporting directly tothe Brew Master, you will work within a professional team, assisting in the conduct and management of all aspects of beer, RTD and Cider production in both draught and packaged format. This position is full-time, permanent, mainly Monday to Friday, and with occasional work on evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
· Overseeing and conducting all day-to-day brewing, cellaring and packaging operations as necessary, ensuring all procedures are properly executed and documented.
· Ensuring the efficient conduct of brewery operations by assessing, delegating and adjusting tasks and priorities as needed.
· Training and mentoring staff members to build and maintain a competent and skilled production team.
· Following and enforcing cleaning, sanitation and maintenance schedules.
· Monitoring Wastewater Treatment System operations and performance.
· Handling tracking production data, inventory and Input document information in EKOS.
· Assist in the creation and development of SOP’s and testing methods.
· Monitor beer quality assessment sensory panel.
· Conduct regular quality control/assurance measures and participate in sensory panels.
· Advise the Brew Master and Plant Manager of any performance or maintenance issues, assisting in the investigation and implementation of repairs and solutions.
· Enforce and comply with all health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Position Experience and Requirements
· Minimum Four year’s practical experience as a Head Brewer/Brewer/Assistant Brewer at a commercial brewery.
· Formal science or brewing-related training would be an asset.
· Ability to lift 55lbs+ (25kg) and work in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
· Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment is an asset.
· Flexible, detail-oriented, team-player and adaptable to a fast-paced production setting.
