Vignoble La Grande Allée has earned international recognition, winning a gold medal along with the title of Best Canadian Wine at the Concours International de Lyon 2026.

A standout cuvée on the global stage
The award-winning Cuvée 1837 is a still red wine made from a blend of Marquette and Petite Perle grapes. Produced in limited quantities — approximately 1,600 bottles — the wine stands out for its:
- fruit-forward profile
- balance
- accessibility
Crafted in stainless steel tanks, the cuvée reflects a focus on precision and consistency, while aligning with environmentally conscious practices that aim to reduce pesticide use.
Competing on an international level
The Lyon competition, now in its 17th edition, brings together industry professionals to evaluate more than 5,000 wines from 58 countries, placing this recognition in a highly competitive global context.
A growing Quebec winery
Founded in 2004 in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Vignoble La Grande Allée produces between 5,000 and 7,000 litres of wine annually across a 4.5-hectare vineyard.
Beyond production, the winery is also known for its social mission, integrating individuals with disabilities into its operations — a distinctive approach within the wine industry.
Building momentum
This latest award adds to a growing list of distinctions for the winery, reinforcing its rising profile both in Canada and internationally.
