4 studios de design à ne pas manquer à Mexico!

Par Mavi Dion

If you have chosen to fly south during the holidays, know that it is possible to refuel original design and local while drinking from the sun. Your trip to Mexico is already planned? Baron has prepared a preview of some design studios in the capital of Mexico City that are worth seeing, all discovered at Design Week Mexico held last October.

The Naturoteca , the “naturothèque” in French, is inspired by nature as its name suggests. The design is used for living environments, and this allows to reclaim the city by inserting green spaces and small gardens. Plants are thus vector of interactions and allow to improve the relations between city dwellers. A great challenge beautifully realized, through ecological gardens and cultivation spaces, all with organic and local seeds. To have.

Central Workshop offers objects made from responsible materials. Wood is the material of choice, although designers adapt according to the object presented. Tables with clean lines for the dining room or living room, refined lighting and small baskets in refined style, the products are varied and pleasant to watch. The design box has a boutique in Mexico, where you can see the products in different moods. http://www.ateliercentral.com.mx/

Dejate Querer is a box specialized in interior design. The designers of the company, in search of a material with low environmental impact, fell in love with the felted wool and it is this material which is at the heart of all their creations. The carpets and tapestries created are bursting with life with their repeated geometrical shapes and make you want to have the same at home to bring back all that heat and energy. Our favorite? The cactus carpet (spicy not included), created in collaboration with Mexican designer Ariel Rojo, a nod to Mexico’s largest cacti area.

All Decoupage creations combine style and exclusivity for the interior of the house. In addition to being produced in small quantities, each piece incorporates salvaged materials found throughout the globe, to give them a truly unique character. From sofa to garden bench, to accessories, Decoupage invigorates the look of homes with a lot of finesse and chic.
